Introduction
If you work as part of a team, the chances are that you can already think of ways that your team could improve in a number of different ways… and the chances are that other team members also have ideas of their own around the team’s improvement, and the chance are also that these two sets of ideas are not always complementary! This one-day workshop, led by an experienced facilitator, will explore, in a constructive way, all the issues that individual team members consider are affecting the performance of the team. Then using the latest in consensus-building techniques, the team will work together to create the strategies to overcome the barriers they had identified. The very fact that the team has come up with the ideas as a whole team helps to increase ownership of the results and therefore creating a long-lasting positive impact on the team.
This style of working can be very refreshing to teams where decisions have typically been made in a top-down approach, with the management having the sole decision making power. By using a facilitator, the input from the team can be used alongside the input from the managers to create a strategy that everyone not only accepts but also can feel a real involvement in and responsibility towards its successful implementation.
The day will be interactive and highly participatory with a number of entertaining exercises that help the individual team members to consider their working styles and those of other individuals within the team.
This workshop is ideal for both teams that are working together and are looking for a “lift”, and also for newly formed teams and project boards to come together early on and jointly create a strategy.
